Welcome to FINE MAMA POT Ma’am.

Kindly let the readers know you Ma’am.

Mrs. Victoria Pascal
Thank you Eny, I’m glad to be here, this reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen back in the days
Okay my name is Mrs. Victoria Pascal, I am married, a proud of two and a business woman, I deal on Phone and accessories.

Enobong Nkanta
Wow, great profile Mrs. Let’s do kitchen gossips. What is the latest in the kitchen?

Mrs. Victoria Pascal
It’s all about the hike in the prices of commodities, like garri now is four (4) cups for a thousand naira (#1,000). Every commodity is on premium, including noodles and egg.

Enobong Nkanta
So what was the price of Garri, fish, meat, egg and noodles like three to four years ago.

Mrs. Victoria Pascal
It was moderate, you could boast of a bag full of commodities with twenty thousand (#20,000) for a duration of about a month, but now the case is the reverse. Imagine egg now is #3,000 to #3,500 naira, so it’s heart breaking.

Okay in case you are joining us now , this is FINE MAMA POT and this segment is KITCHEN GOSSIPS, we are here with Mrs. Victoria Pascal. What about families who are not financially stable to afford this, how do they cope?

Mrs. Victoria Pascal
Eny, it’s affecting everyone, like me what I do is o try as much as possible to get my leaves from village, process and store them in the fridge for a period of time, so I can use money meant for this to add up to my fish and other proteins who are also on a high side, so women can practice this too, it works.

Enobong Nkanta
So what would you rather advice mothers to do following these hike in commodities?

Mrs. Victoria Pascal
the only way is for us to go back to the farm, it’s very obvious that the normal family upkeep money can no longer care for the family.

So every woman should practice farming, perhaps you don’t have a large portion to plant cassava, corn, okra and all other, try the little space in your rented apartment if your landlord is an understanding type, plant at least five ground of pumpkins or even water leaf, I’m sure you will not need to buy much quantity whenever you want to cook, since you can plug some from your environment.

Enobong Nkanta
Mrs. Victoria Pascal we appreciate your time with us to our esteemed audience Fine Mama Pot want to encourage you to continue to cope in the kitchen in spite the biting economy.
